Years ago, I went through a point in my life where I was really, really poor. I mean literally on the streets. I was too young to legally work. You know those guys you see walking around collecting bottles to return for 5 cents a pop? Yeah, I was him. And I remember one time, i cut a can in half and crushed it, in hopes of scoring 10 cents instead of 5. It didn’t work. In fact, the guy at the counter seemed kind of pissed that I had tried to pull one over on him.
With that being said, I really don’t see much of a point to this product. This is the Kinkajou Bottle Cutter, and it is not some new Pokemon thing. No, it’s really a device, engineered to cut your empty bottles in half for some reason.
The way it works, is the Kinkajou hugs your bottle in the center, and after alternating boiling and cold water, there is a small circular blade to cut through the glass (the whole process is much more complicated than that, but you get the idea). Think of it kind of like a can opener for glass bottles!
I suppose one could use the Kinkajou bottle cutter to make drinking glasses out of your empty bottle, but what the hell?! You would be robbing yourself of 5, 10, maybe even 15 cents!
