World’s Hottest Chili Pepper

World’s Hottest Chili Pepper: Be Prepared To Not Have An Anus Anymore

As a self-proclaimed spice connoisseur, I enjoy trying different peppers from around the world. So I am always skeptical when somebody labels something as “the hottest chili pepper in the world”, because chances are, I have either read about something hotter or ingested it myself. But not this time. This hellspawn has the Guinness Book Of World Records backing it up!

This is the South Carolina Reaper, and it is probably the worst life choice you are ever going to make! The heat in this thing is ridiculous, ranging anywhere from 1.6 to 2.2 MILLION on the Scoville heat scale! Let me put that into perspective. A normal, run-of-the-mill jalapeno pepper scores 5,000 to 6,000 Scoville units, while a habanero pepper is 350,000 to 580,000 units.

I am no math doctor, but that means that the tamest South Carolina Reaper is 3 times hotter than the hottest habanero you can buy! It is 266.6 times hotter than the hottest jalapeno! And that’s the tamest one! For Christ’s sake, the hottest one is hotter than freaking pepper spray that the cops use!

Anyway, if you are going to try this beast, it comes with 6 dry pods, and a warning label that reads more like a short story!
